THE DESIGN INSTALLATION MEET/DESIGN STAGES INTERIOR TRENDS AT THE DOMOTEX FAIR IN HANNOVER.
Interior Design starts with the floor. That’s why the world’s biggest fair for flooring and carpets, the
DOMOTEX in Hanover, builds a bridge between the fields of interior design and flooring with the
installation MEET/DESIGN. From January, 12th to 15th 2013 all visitors and exhibitors of the fair can
discover furniture and accessories from contemporary and brand-new manufacturers as well as
selected vintage items on 500 square meters. Embedded in an unconventional temporary architecture
containing of racks, fabrics, wood, graphic design elements and light MEET/DESIGN shows an urban
vision of modern life. The design installation is a “fair within the fair„, with an orchestrated arrangement
on different levels and with different living environments.
Alexander Wurst, area Manager international trade fairs at Deutsche Messe AG, describes why MEET/
DESIGN is integrated in DOMOTEX for the first time: “We attempt to establish a meeting point for
interior decorators and designers, and to display that carpets and flooring are essential in furnishing. Like
this the DOMOTEX highlights the attractiveness of flooring and creates a capturing stage for the
international flooring industry„

INSPIRATION AT THE FAIR AND ON-LINE.

And important factor of MEET/DESIGN is it’s multi-dimensionality. The platform not only offers a
physical contact point for inspiration around modern interior design, but also a virtual one: in the blog

good interior design are able to discover new furniture, brands and personalities, and read interesting
background-stories.
