A design installation highlights urban lifestyle at the Domotex fair for flooring in Hanover, Germany

Interior Design comes alive within the most important trade fair for carpets and flooring worldwide.

In January 2013 a design installation titled MEET/DESIGN will be created at Hanover’s Domotex fair.

EXPERIENCE INTERIOR DESIGN AT MEET/DESIGN

The installation will be a meeting point and place of inspiration at the same time, opened for all visitors and exhibitors. Modern Interior design meets vintage furniture and graphic elements melt with exciting temporary architecture.

MEET/DESIGN is 500 square meters of urban living, zeitgeist and lifestyle trends to experience, touch and try. Carpets and flooring, the main topic of Domotex, are integrated in a very natural way. At MEET/DESIGN a rough composition of used and recycled materials, fabrics, graphic elements and scaffolding form an exciting contrast with modern interior design and selected furniture classics.

The installation is centrally located at hall 4 and presents diverse areas, structured through different levels. Most importantly, MEET/DESIGN encourages all visitors to not only look at the furniture and objects on display, but to use them as well. So how about a conversation while having a drink at the long dining table or check your emails at the office area? In any case grab a snack at the kitchen or enjoy a moment of relaxation from the trade fair‘s busy rhythm at the comfortable lounge chairs

The micro-fair concept for MEET/DESIGN has been conceived by the creatives of Berlinbased furniture fair „Qubique“ and will be realized with selected furniture and design manufacturers. It is their specific sense for innovation and trends that will also be distinctive for MEET/DESIGN.
